– Transport Service Steps
Step 1. Booking Confirmation & Initial Contact
- After receiving your booking email or message, your car dispatcher will establish direct service contact with you.
- The dispatcher will confirm all trip details with you.
Step 2. Information Exchange
- From our side: We will inform the passenger of the car model, the hike difficulty level, and what to expect during the hike.
- From passenger’s side: We will gather feedback from the passenger about their hike plan and expectations.
Step 3. Car Plate and Driver information (24 hours before departure)
- The actual car and driver information is sent to you by your English-speaking dispatcher.
- Photos of the car will be provided.
- The driver will follow the exact schedule agreed upon between the passenger and the dispatcher.
Step 4. On the Travel Day – Pickup
- Your English-speaking dispatcher will inform you of the car’s arrival 15 minutes before departure time.
- Pickup location: Your hotel in Lijiang Ancient Town.
Step 5. Ride to Tiger Leaping Gorge
- Journey time: Approximately 1.5 hours.
- Destination: Ticket office at Tiger Leaping Gorge.
Step 6. Ticket Handling
- Tickets are purchased online in advance on your behalf (ticket cost is included in the quote).
- Upon arrival, the driver helps you collect the paper tickets and takes you to the ticket checkpoint.
Step 7. Hike Start – Drop-off for Hiking
- Passengers begin hiking from Naxi Guest House.
Step 8. Hike Routes & Driver Meeting Points
Option A: 1-Day Tiger Leaping Gorge Hike
- First leg: 28 bends – uphill hike, ~1.5 hours
- Second leg: Downhill hike from 28 bends to Tea Horse Guest House, ~1.5 hours
- Third leg: Tea Horse Guest House to Halfway Inn, ~2 hours
- Driver meets you at: Halfway Inn Load Zone
Option B: 2-Day Tiger Leaping Gorge Hike
- Day 1 – Same as above:
- 28 bends uphill (1.5 hrs) → downhill to Tea Horse (1.5 hrs) → Tea Horse to Halfway Inn (2 hrs)
- Overnight: Stay at Halfway Inn or Judy’s (hotel fee not included in the quote)
- Day 2:
- Hike from Halfway Inn to Tina’s Inn, ~2 hours
- Driver meets you at: Tina’s Inn Load Zone at noon
Step 9. Drop-off / Return
- After the hike, the driver will take you back to your hotel in Lijiang (or another agreed location in Lijiang).

Do you provide a guide other than the driver?
No. We provide English speaking dispatcher and a Chinese speaking driver. Car service communication was accomplished through service group over mobile phone.

Bottled water are provided in the car. But you need bring the water needed during the hike.
Excess Charge
It is a private car service. Therefore no extra charge added as long as it fit into the car according to the seat number. Baby and kid are considered as a person in Chinese traffic law.
