One day Chongqing–Dazu Baodingshan + Beishan trip by private car

Starting November 1, 2025, the Dazu Scenic Office strengthened the rule that the Dazu Rock Carvings Visitor Center is the only entrance to the Baodingshan Scenic Area. All ticket windows outside the visitor center are permanently closed.
Visitors must verify or purchase their tickets at the Visitor Center before entering.

After ticketing, you can take a shuttle bus or electric sightseeing vehicle from Beisong Street up to the summit area, where the Dazu Rock Carvings are located. When you finish your visit, take the shuttle bus back down to the Baoding Old Street parking lot and return to the Visitor Center. Please note that the Visitor Center has separate entrance and exit gates.

This system works similarly to the Grand Canyon South Rim shuttle buses — you park once, then use the scenic shuttle system to reach different viewpoints without driving inside the scenic area.
